[ˈlut͡sɒ ˈɡaːl]
I am Luca Gál, a third-year PhD student in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at the University of Cambridge (Christ's College).
I am supervised by Prof Adam Ledgeway (University of Bergamo) and Dr Marieke Meelen (University of Cambridge).
I am interested in language contact, morphology, and historical linguistics. My work explores the influence of language contact on Evaluative Morphology, specifically focussing on the effect of Romance languages on non-Romance ones (Basque, Maltese, Griko, and German).
